Embark on a journey into the dazzling universe of "Stargaze," a celestial masterpiece that came to life through my creative lens as the director and producer. At its core, this cosmic odyssey revolves around Tien Si, formerly known as Justin Nguyen—a seasoned performer from Paris by Night—making his debut under the name Tien Si, featuring the talented Trina Bao Tran.
The transformative beats of "Stargaze" echo Tien Si's evolution, and I had the privilege of visually narrating this significant shift from his past identity. This metamorphosis unfolds brilliantly in the glow-in-the-dark transformation within the video—a symbolic emergence from the shadows of Justin Nguyen into the radiant persona of Tien Si.
Inspired by the cosmic theme of the song, I infused the visual narrative with blue UV light and glow-in-the-dark paint, creating a stunning spectacle that captures the essence of the galaxy. The glow-in-the-dark metamorphosis serves as a powerful symbol, signifying Tien Si's radiant debut as a new artistic entity, alongside the captivating presence of Trina Bao Tran as his love interest. (For those of you who don't know, they're married in real life!)
The choice of a disco-bar setting, echoing funky, 1980s-inspired vibes, was a deliberate one. The nostalgic energy of this backdrop perfectly complements the vibrant soundscape of "Stargaze," adding an extra layer of visual and auditory richness to the overall experience.
In "Stargaze," I aimed to seamlessly blend visuals, sound, and narrative, providing viewers with an intimate front-row seat to Tien Si's artistic rebirth. This video is more than a mere showcase of music; it's a transformative journey through time, space, and self-expression. The collaboration between Tien Si, Trina Bao Tran, and me encapsulates the magic of artistic reinvention, leaving an indelible mark on the cosmic canvas of "Stargaze."
